Merry Christmas Charlie Brown..!

Hi Sweethearts,

Christmas is almost here. I'm home spending most of my time shopping, watching movies & catching up with family & friends. I've been watching quite a few Christmas theme movies to get the feel of Christmas - I love movies! As I was searching, I came across A Charlie Brown Christmas - a true classic in every sense of the word! It isn't Christmas until you watch Charlie Brown! This is a 1965 animated holiday classic for kids.

A Charlie Brown Christmas!

The Peanuts Gang in a statement on commercialization of ChristmasChristmas season is all about shopping & buying presents for your loved ones etc. But what do materialism really have to do with Christmas? - the question vexing Charlie Brown. A Charlie Brown Christmas addresses the emotional & spiritual effect of ever-increasing commercialization of Christmas in a bold yet gentle way.

In the movie, Charlie Brown is convinced that the "true meaning of Christmas" has been forgotten by both his Peanuts friends & the rest of the world. Lucy advises Charlie Brown to get into the holiday spirit by directing the upcoming Christmas play. What happens next is for you to watch for yourselves! J

The Message :Be thankful for what you have & appreciate it. The presents, glitz & all the stress over-shadows the true meaning of Christmas. Stop & take a deep breath to appreciate 'the' free gift which was presented over 2 thousand years ago because if you do not do so that kills the true meaning of the season.

Highly recommended & a must watch!

Merry Christmas

My Christmas Décor - Update III

Hi Sweethearts,

I know I've been away for a while. That's only because I'm so busy right now with Christmas preps. :) Hopefully I'll be back after Christmas with lots of new reviews & posts. However, I do want to share a really interesting post today.

DIY Christmas Origami Flowers

Origami is a traditional 17th century AD Japanese art of paper folding. While looking around over the internet for DIY Christmas décor I came across a lot of beautiful paper flowers & therefore decided to give it a try myself. They looked beautiful! Today I thought of doing a detailed post on how I created these paper flowers. These are really easy & cheap to make. Plus you do not need to purchase anything expensive. The only thing I bought was glitter because I had none at home but you can even use you old makeup glitter if you're no longer using that.

Things you'll need:

  • Square shaped paper
  • Colorful art glitter/old cosmetic glitter
  • Glue
  • Scissors (to make you paper a perfect square shape)
  • Ribbon

Voila! Ultimately you glue together all the petals to create a flower. You can change the size of the flowers to your own liking. You can also glue a ribbon loop to it if you want to hang these on your Christmas tree. I hope you enjoyed the tutorial as much as I did creating these flowers out of paper.

So are you going to try make these flowers yourself?
Do leave a link below if you write about it. I'd love to check it out.

Jusqu'à ce que la prochaine fois amoureux!

My Christmas Décor - Update II

"Christmas Is My Fav Time Of The Year!"

Hi Sweethearts

If you went through my My Christmas Decor List - Update I, I mentioned that I have an optic fiber Christmas tree. Unfortunately, this time when I took it out of it's box & tried to check it out it’s lights didn't turn on. After an initial inspection I found out that the tiny bulb inside it's core has fused which actually creates all those colors at each fibers' tips. Well, it's gone to the electrician for a repair. I must say I'm a little sad inside as to why it didn't work this time.

This week I'm going to look for a simple but bigger Christmas tree which we could decorate as per our taste. But it has to be at least 4-5 feet tall. I tried my luck around the markets today but could find the kind of thing I'm looking for. It seems like every shop has a the same kind size of Christmas tree I already have. But I still got time so I'm not giving up looking for one.

Now my maid came up with a crazy idea. As per her she spotted a few real Fraser Firs which could actually be free of cost - wow! But wait a minute. Here’s the catch, these are located 'inside' a graveyard. My reply - "no way!" (haha).  Are you superstitious?

Remember my favorite Christmas Lights got a week or two back? This weekend I did a little 'wiring' myself to set up a longer power extension. That ways my Christmas Lights would extend towards the end of my garden. Well, after all the afternoon's hard work & a little help from mom & dad with small chores (how cute!) we finally turned on the lights.

Introducing ARTDECO

Hi again pretty ladies

Today's post is yet another Nail Of The Day. It was beautifully sunny outside in the afternoon today, in this freezing cold weather. As we all know Christmas season is in full swing. With all that in mind & the sunny afternoon I decided to pick my Christmas  nail color. I choose ARTDECO's 11.292

ARTDECO is a premium retail German brand. It's comparatively really pricey than most of your drugstore brands. I have been trying out some of it's products from time to time especially whenever I have a fat wallet. This brand has all the essentials & exclusivity of an international brand. The reason why I like it is because it gives you the finish & satisfaction of a high end international cosmetic brand. ARTDECO stands for trends & will always come up with the latest & must-haves

ARTDECO Nail Color 11.292

The ARTDECO shade I chose for Christmas is shade 11.292, a very nice gold, glitter nail polish. It's a bright gold shade & is loaded with shimmer & micro glitter. It's highly pigmented & gives off a really fine glitter effect when light hits it. The consistency is neither not too thick nor too thin. It's almost opaque in one coat. It looks best in two coats.

Another thing I like about this nail color is that it's brush is made of high quality nylon which ensures a smooth & fast application. I also noticed that it dries quick which is another plus point especially if you're in a hurry. The polish is pretty durable & doesn't chip easily. Since I refresh my nail polish, whichever I'm wearing, everyday (yea!) I can't exactly tell how long it lasts. But I'm sure it stays for at least a week.

One more reason why I like this shade is that it is almost close to Chanel Gold Fingers. Another reason for you to try it out. Check out more about ARTDECO's full range of cosmetics by clicking here.

Very recently beauty icon & immensely gorgeous Dita Von Tease joined ARTDECO to release a classic, timeless makeup collection. Her signature makeup is seduction, elegance & a touch of mystery. Check out ARTDECO's Dita Von Tease complete collection by clicking here.
