The Stunning Monica Vinader Jewelry!

Hello Lovely ladies,

Jewelry says a lot about who we are. People can wear a single piece of jewelry for a life time, like wedding bands without taking it off. It become a part of them. I'm not too fond of wearing regular jewelry pieces. In routine days I'd prefer to wear my favorite watch instead of a bracelet. I'd leave my earlobes empty instead of wearing those ear studs. I've put my gold chain in my jewelry box where I like it most. But having said all this I still need to mention I love contemporary jewelry. Even though traditional, more basic jewelry designs are very elegant at times but if I had to choose I'd pick a more modern, contemporary design.

I have long loved the looks of Tiffany Keys Necklaces but I recently came across a label that took my attention. The first time I saw Monica Vinader jewelry I was stunned. The designs are absolutely beautiful! I was so impressed that I thought I would share this on my blog though I haven't done a jewelry post ever or even own any piece from this brand yet.

Monica Vinader's award winning jewelry is oozing with understated glamour. The label is inspired by the Spanish designer's passion for gems and pearls, nature and travel. Launched in 2002 the vision was to create beautiful jewelry that was affordable. I am in love with her iconic luxury friendship bracelets. Some of these bracelets are set in Sterling Silver which are very cute but I particularly like the ones in 18ct Gold Plated on Sterling Silver and studded with precious gems. All these bracelets are elegant pieces of jewelry and hold a grown-up feel that is modern and sophisticated. But the collections are not limited to bracelets. These include rings, pendants, necklaces and pendants too. Perfectly bridging the gap between fashion and fine jewelry, Monica Vinader's eponymous brand has garnered a cult following! The jewelry is simple yet striking.

My Personal Favorites & Top Picks!

*BRACELETS*

I have so many favourites from Monica Vinader collections but I love the Rio and Fiji collection which are also one of the brand's most popular collection. I love these bracelets because they are playful yet sophisticated version of friendship bracelets. I'm sure everyone in their teens went through a friendship band phase and it's so embedded in our memories. These bracelets bring those memories back in a grown up style. The difference between the two is that Fiji Friendship Bracelets have a luscious curve of 18 karat yellow gold vermeil an adjustable, vibrantly colored silk cord while Rio Friendship Bracelets is a composite of 18 karat gold vermeil balls wrapped with twined silk. Both are super gorgeous!

Another favorite of mine from the Fiji Collection of bracelets is the iconic Fiji Chain Friendship Bracelet. These bracelets have a sleek chain instead of the silk cord along with the original clasp for smooth fastening. I love the rose gold plated bracelets from this collection which looks chic worn with multiple bracelets. These bracelets make the perfect gift for friends. If you fancy diamonds then Fiji Full Diamond Chain Friendship Bracelet is the ultimate piece for you. The bracelet is either Sterling Silver, Gold or Rose Gold plated and the bar is luxuriously set with pave diamonds.

*EARRINGS*
My most favorite earrings have to be the Riva Diamond Cocktail Earrings. These are super chic, two tiered wire drop earrings are perfect for both day and night. I'd love to wear these on formal dinners and also would look gorgeous on romantic nights. Encased in 18 ct Gold Plated Vermeil on Silver Sterling the delicate diamond pave hoops and organic shaped multi-faceted Lemon Quartz look absolutely stunning and glamorous. Riva collection is inspired by shoreline and glamour of Italian Riviera. It relates to the flowing, wave like setting of gems that give this collection a distinctive look.

*RINGS*
Just like everything else from Monica Vinader jewelry it is so hard to choose which rings I like most. There is a large collection of rings to choose from. The rings and bands are contemporary yet classic. Each ring is unique by virtue of different stone variation that make up the band. I love how different gems like Amethyst, Green Chrysoprase, Blue Lapis (another fav!), White Topaz, Grey Agate, Labradorite and Moon Stone etc make up the chic assortment. I love the Riva Stick Ring in Lemon Quartz which goes perfectly with my favorite Riva Diamond Cocktail Earrings.

RIVA Collection: RIVA Stick Ring in Lemon Quartz £120  //   Stack Em' !
BAJA Ring Turquoise £130  //   BAJA Collection
 Stack Em' !
Monica Vinader's Baja Collection has some of my favorite rings. This collection plays along strong lines and geometric shapes. With all the glamour of 1920's Art Deco, this is a timeless collection of cocktail and stacking rings along with very elegant gem-set bracelets. I'm in love with the beautiful Green Oxyn ring which looks great in any form - solo or stacked with other rings for that signature look. So does the Lapis ring from the same collection. The details focuses around strong shapes and precision cuts and makes this collection really stand out. You can also create your own unique stack of rings using the Ring Stacker Tool for a more personalised look. This tool helps you stack and preview your favorite combinations before they can make their way to your fingers. Shop the post by visiting and browsing the Monica Vinader website.

So what do you think about the brand? What kind of jewelry do you like?

Ginger Anti Dandruff Shampoo | The Body Shop

Dear Lovelies,

Hope everyone is keeping themselves warm in this cold season and taking good care. Today I will be reviewing The Body Shop's Ginger Anti Dandruff Shampoo. The need for an anti dandruff shampoo comes with the harsh cold weather. Even though I do not suffer from dandruff, in winters my scalp becomes overly dry, itchy with dandruff showing up around the crown area. This maybe due to the fact that I take shower with very hot water which not only results in dry skin but dry scalp too. I had noticed Ginger Anti Dandruff Shampoo at The Body Shop when I went there to purchase my all time favourite Rainforest Shine Shampoo and thought it would be a nice gift for my younger sister who has serious dandruff issues. Plus I can also experience if this really works for my flaky scalp.

The Ginger Anti Dandruff Shampoo comes in a plastic darkest brown bottle with a screw cap and a lid. The shampoo look clear and has medium consistency. I apply a small amount on the palms of my hands, mix a little amount of water and rub till it lathers. I massage it gently onto my scalp and rinse thoroughly. Since The Body Shop shampoos are mild in nature these don't lather into tons of foam like other shampoos. I love the mild ginger root scent which is pleasant and refreshing in the shower. It not at all overpowering hence doesn't last long and fades as your hair dry naturally.

The first thing that anyone will notice after using this shampoo is it's ability to calm down your itchy scalp. My hair feel so tamed and relaxed even after the first wash. The shampoo however leaves my hair dry so I always use a good deep conditioner after every wash, else my hair get super charged. I would recommend this to anyone who suffers dandruff and sensitive, itchy scalp especially during winters. For others who suffer serious dandruff, like my sister might want to look for alternative options. She used this shampoo for a week or so and did see a little improvement but this shampoo did not completely solve her dandruff issue. On the other hand it worked great for me who gets a seasonal dry scalp. My hair felt more manageable and soft after ever wash. Overall, The Body Shop Ginger Anti Dandruff Shampoo is a good quality natural shampoo made with an eco-conscious formula that helps control dandruff and flaky scalp.

What products/tips do you recommend to fight dandruff?

Magic of Winters...

Winters remind me of The Wizard of Oz.

The wicked Queen has cast her magic spell on the entire land and everything has turned white and cold. While I am waiting for the wonderful colors of Spring and fresh leaves to sprout I cant help enjoy the natural beauty of Winters. Coffee and hot chocolate tastes best in Winters. The warmth of bonfire is amazing so is fall in love and Winter romance.

What are you enjoying this Winters?

Infallible Le Rouge Lipstick in Forever Fuchsia 138 | L'Oreal

Lovely Ladies,

Season of festivities is over, sigh. While I'm trying to get in terms with the fact that life has to go on I'm trying to motivate myself by thinking these festivities will return in a matter of months! Apart from the holiday season, the lovely Christmas tree, the family get together, the mouthwatering food, shopping and hustle and bustle around and on Christmas day there was something else I was really excited about this Christmas. My Christmas day lipstick - L'Oreal Infallible Le Rouge Lipstick in Forever Fuchsia 138.

What a gorgeous shade. This was a perfect find. I'm a pink lipstick lover! And L'Oreal Infallible Le Rouge Lipstick in Forever Fuchsia is the 'perfect' pink ever! L'Oreal introduced the glamorous Infallible Le Rouge lipstick range for luxurious and long lasting lip color. The range comes in 35 beautiful shades. It comes in a sturdy semi transparent plastic packaging with the lipstick number and shade visible which I would say is not as glossy as compared to other L'Oreal products like Glam Shine Satin Splash Lipgloss. I loved how the lipstick had L'Oreal Paris engraved on it. Reminded me of ArtDeco High Performance lipsticks I reviewed. The first thing that you would notice (if you are as much into lipsticks as myself) once you open the packaging is the absence of this floral fragrance L'Oreal adds to it's lipsticks (have you noticed that too or is it that my sense of smell is weakened due to the seasonal flu?). Though I do not mind lipsticks with a mild fragrance I realised a lipstick without fragrance is equally good.

I love the texture too. The formula is creamy and conditioning. It applies evenly without flaking or leaving your lips dry. I like how its not overly satin on the lips but a nice satiny-matte (makes sense?) The claim that these Infallible Le Rouge Lipsticks stay for 10 hours might be too good to be true but Forever Fuchsia did stay on my lips for long! I also noticed that it survived my coffee routine and lunch and snack breaks. So I would say for me it stayed good for 6 hours approximately. After that it starts looking a little messed and you might feel you want to refresh it. Having said this I still believe 6 hours for a person like me who would eat away her lipstick in 6 minutes is a win-win situation for both me and L'Oreal.

Although for me Forever Fuchsia stayed for 6 hours approx. I really like and noticed the fact that it does not feel too thick on the lips as most 'long lasting' lipsticks do. The color remains vivid and looks luscious. The formula is light weight AND long lasting without drying out on your lips. Infallible Le Rouge works great for me and I would love to try out more shades. I'm so glad I picked this range for Christmas.

Have you tried a lipstick from this range?
How do you find it?
